My name is Justine Miller, but I was born Justine Yancer and proud of it.  Anyone who knows the Yancer’s knows why.  I am a native Arizonian, born in Phoenix Arizona and raised in Chandler Arizona.  I currently reside with my husband and two daughters in Mesa, Arizona.  I love my job and could not imagine anything better than being a photographer.  I am invited into witness the most intimate days of peoples’ lives, everything from the birth of a newborn baby, to the marriage of two people in love.  I am honored every time I am asked to be your photographer.   People often ask me what my favorite thing to photograph is.  Honestly, I can’t say for sure.  I do know that there is something magical about every event I am invited to be it a maternity session, newborn portrait session or wedding photography, I love it all!

 

My Equipment

My equipment is my lively hood, so I treat it well.  I photograph with Nikon, and currently use a combination of D200’s, D300’s, D700 and D70 camera’s while on location.  My camera lenses include a 24-70 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 10.5mm 2.8 fisheye, 70-200 2.8, and 105 macro.  Of course I am always adding to my arsenal, and only use the best for your special day.  I also use various lighting equipment on your shoot, everything from Sb800’s mounted on camera, to Alien Bee’s and soft box’s for more dramatic effects.  You are sure to get the best photographs on your day, I guarantee it. 

 

Wedding Insurance and Photography Memberships

 

A common question your Arizona Wedding Venue may ask you when reserving your date is to have your vendors supply copies of their liability insurance waivers.  I am insured and have no problem providing this information to your venue, just ask.  I also belong to numerous professional agencies which can verify my good standing as a wedding photographer.  These memberships include Professional Photographers of America, Wedding and Portrait Photographers International and Digital Wedding Forum.  These groups hold yearly trade shows which I attend to ensure I am always providing the latest wedding products to my brides and grooms.

 

What I do

 

So first and foremost I am a Arizona Wedding Photographer.  I do travel for destination weddings upon request.  As an Arizona Wedding Photographer, I not only am in charge of making sure that your photographs are amazing, but I usually serve as a channel for many of your questions, I help prepare timelines, and put you at ease on your wedding day.  I highly recommend using a wedding planner, as they help to alleviate the stress you may experience at your wedding.  As an Arizona Wedding Photographer, I have photographed brides and grooms at many of Arizona’s finest resorts and wedding locations including, Stonebridge, The Wright House,  The Botanical Gardens, Wrigley Mansion,  Firerock Country Club, Greyhawk Country Club, Ocotillo Golf Course, Troon North Golf Club, The Four Seasons,  and many more.   I highly recommend to my brides and grooms that we schedule time for an Engagement session before photographing their wedding.  These are special sessions just for the bride and groom, and it serves as a time to connect, not just as bride and groom, but also for us to connect and bride and photographer.  I am able to learn about your natural body language, best angles and increase your comfort level in front of the camera so that your wedding photographs turn out as amazing as you have always imagined them to be.   My style is a blended style, I do capture the traditional shots to please mom, but I love getting creative with my brides.  Day before sessions, trash the dress sessions and bridal sessions are all available and encouraged.  These portrait sessions against the lovely Arizona backdrop will provide you some unique pieces of artwork that we can not create on the day of your wedding and under the strict timelines that are often in place.   My ceremony approach is very candid.  I am to blend into your ceremony so that your guests are not disturbed by me and you can focus on your bride/groom.  I focus not only on your reactions and emotions during the wedding ceremony, but also aim to capture the emotion from your guests and family members.  Nothing is better than your father welling up with pride as he gives his baby away.. it gets me every time.  So if you see me crying at your wedding, you will know why.  I am a girl, and emotion gets me.   

 

My job as your Arizona Wedding Photographer doesn’t just stop on your wedding day.  After your wedding, I spend hours culling through your images and optimizing each one to ensure that every photo you receive is the best quality it can be.  I also spend hours on album designs and working to create your final vision, and heirloom you can pass on to your children.   My relationship as your wedding photographer will go months beyond your actual wedding day, so be sure you like me J

 

And if I am lucky, our relationship will go years beyond your wedding day, when you ask me to photograph a maternity session for you, and then a newborn session and family sessions for the years to come.  I feel like such a friend to all my brides and grooms, that I truly feel like a part of the family, and love having that close relationship with each one.
