Frequently Asked Questions
So during the
interview process, there are often some similar or frequently asked
questions. I thought I would post some
answers to help my brides decide if I am the right photographer for them.
Question #1: What is your primary style?
Answer: I find myself most relaxed and comfortable
shooting in candid photojournalistic style, I love looking for hidden moments
and emotion throughout your wedding day that you may not have seen. I do offer traditional posed shots as well
for the bridal party, and love contemporary and modern fashion type shots for
my bridal sessions. So overall I am a
nice blend of many styles I think that many brides will like.
Question
#2: Do you shoot in Black and White?
Answer:
Sometimes, but I can always covert my color files to black and white during the
editing process.
Question #3: Do
you shoot in film or digital?
Answer: I shoot
solely digital.
Question #4:
What kind of input can we have in our photos, and can we provide a list?
Answer: I will
go over your wish list with you during out interview, but due to the nature of
the pace of a wedding, I can not guarantee any specific shots. I will do my best to ensure everyone is
included who you would like to be, but there are the occasional non-compliant
family members and friends who may slip away. I always listen to my couples in terms of how
they feel comfortable posing, angles they like or dislike as well as design
ideas for their albums. Overall, you
hire me to produce a vision that we have created together.
Question #5:
Are you going to be our photographer, or will someone else be taking pictures?
Answer: I am
your photographer, depending on your event and desires, I also have a second
shooter/assistant who may attend your wedding, but I am always there.
Question #6:
May we meet your assistant prior to the wedding?
Answer: You may
request to meet with my assistant and I prior to your wedding if they are
available to meet. Because this is a
part time position for them, they may not be able to meet due to other
obligations such as school and another job. You may request to see samples of their work
as well.
Questions #7:
How many weddings have you shot?
Answer:
Countless, I have been photographing weddings and events both as a main
shooter, and apprentice for over 3 years, and have many weddings of all different
kinds.
Questions #8:
How many other events will be photographed our weekend?
Answer: On
average I only shoot one wedding a weekend.
However depending on the size of the event, I may take up to two events
over a weekend, but NEVER two on the same day.
